Perfectly positioned between San Antonio and Austin, Seguin’s economy is benefitting from the fast-growing metroplex in many ways, but we’re doing so with the authentic flair that Seguin residents know and love.

We’re fortunate that the Seguin economy is thriving, and our quality of life is rich. From amenities like the Max Starcke Park to the Seguin Squirrel Trail (a public art display celebrating Seguin’s one-of-a-kind character and identity), there is truly something for everyone here. Nestled 30 minutes from San Antonio and 60 minutes from Austin, we also offer a lower cost of living when compared to our bigger city counterparts.

While we’re known for the World’s Largest Pecan, we’re also home to notable companies like Caterpillar, Vitesco Technologies, and Niagara Bottling, all of which contribute to the more than 4,000 manufacturing jobs in the area. When combined with other diverse industries like agriculture, healthcare, and retail, manufacturing brings thriving diversity to an already pro-business environment.

But that’s not all–Maruichi Stainless Tube Texas Corporation recently announced plans for a 125,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility on a 33-acre site in Seguin. The $75 million plant will create more than 100 local jobs and will be used to produce stainless steel precision tubes to support the semiconductor industry.

After less than two years on the ground, United Alloy is investing approximately $18 million to nearly double the size of its current Seguin facility, focusing on automation technology for sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly operations.

Homebuilders love our Seguin, too. From early 2020 to the second quarter of 2022, more than 1,800 lots were delivered, a massive increase from a similar time period in 2018-2019. As of mid-year 2022, 13,000+ new homes were either under construction or in the development review phase.

Additionally, there is a litany of new subdivisions–Arroyo Ranch, Greenfield, Lily Springs, and Swenson Heights, just to name a few. It’s exciting to see the growth in our area, as our elected officials work to manage the growth and maintain the unique charm of Seguin.

If you have questions about new developments, resale homes, or land in the greater Seguin area, reach out to me anytime. I’m always happy to help.
