Steps to Buying a Home

Your Roadmap for the Home Buying Process

When you are ready to begin the process of buying a home, Bloom Realty is here to help you along the way.

Meet with One of Our Professional REALTORS®

We will discuss the type of home you are looking for in regards to style, price, location, etc.

Get Pre-Approved

You will need pay stubs, W-2s, and bank statements. Knowing what you can afford is crucial to a successful home shopping experience.

Search for Homes

We will handle scheduling showings and help you find the perfect home. We will also set you up on our MLS system so you can get auto emails of homes as they immediately become available on the market.

Make an Offer

Once we have found “the home”, we will work with you to prepare an offer based on the price and terms you choose.

Negotiation and Contract

The contract provides you with a timeline to obtain financing and inspect the condition of the home. We will inform you of all your rights and responsibilities related to the contract. It’s our job to be sure we stay within the contractual guidelines.

Option Period and Escrow

The option period (usually 5-10 days) is when you conduct and inspection and have the ability to cancel the contract if the report comes back with issues the seller is unwilling to negotiate or fix. If negotiations go well and you and the seller agree, you will be in escrow. The home is effectively held for you until closing.

Final Details

Perform due diligence and work with your lender to finalize the loan and review documents and terms. We will be with you each step of the way.

Closing

The transfer of funds and ownership. A title company typically acts as an independent third party to facilitate the closing.

Congratulations!
